Fast vocabulary drills, and where the questions come from.

Word practice is the quick drill surface. You choose where the words come from and how they are asked, then answer as fast as you can.
Every session is built on the server before the first question appears, so the set is fixed once you start. That is what makes the scoring trustworthy.

| Level | Any word at the JLPT level you pick. Free accounts draw from common words only. |
| My collection | Only words you have already collected, so nothing is unfamiliar. |
| Weak words | Words whose most recent answer in the last 30 days was wrong, newest miss first. |
| Conquest | A fixed 40-word station on a campaign road. See the Conquest article. |
- Meaning shows the Japanese and asks what it means.
- Word shows the meaning and asks which Japanese word it is.
- Reading asks you to produce the kana reading yourself.
- Listening plays the word and asks you to pick it. It hides when audio is unavailable.
Smart repeat does not double your XP
A missed word can come back later in the same session, but only your first answer to each question is scored. Retries are there to teach, and they can never inflate your result.
Drills do not reschedule your flashcards
This is the one thing people expect and it is not true. Drilling a word here never moves its review date. It feeds the weak-words list and offers to collect new words at the end, but your spaced-repetition schedule is only ever changed by grading a card in Flashcards.
