Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 13 years old to use TanoshiGo. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has given you permission and accepts these Terms on your behalf where required by law. Purchases by users under 18 require parental consent.

2. Your account

You sign in through a third-party provider (Google, Discord, or GitHub) and are responsible for keeping that account secure. You may not share, sell, or transfer your TanoshiGo account, and you may not impersonate others in your username or display name.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat, use automation or bots, exploit bugs, or manipulate rankings and matches;
• scrape, harvest, or mass-download content or quiz answers;
• harass other users or post offensive usernames;
• attack, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.

4. Purchases, tiers, and renewals

Paid tiers (Premium and Unlimited) unlock additional content and limits as described on the pricing page. Access passes run for the stated number of days from activation. When subscriptions launch, they will renew automatically each month unless cancelled; cancelling stops the next renewal and access continues until the end of the paid period, without a refund for that period. Prices may change; changes never affect time you have already paid for. Payments are processed by Midtrans (Indonesia) or Paddle (international, as merchant of record). Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Content and intellectual property

The TanoshiGo application, curriculum, and original content are our intellectual property. Dictionary data derives from JMdict (Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group, CC BY-SA 4.0) and example sentences from Tatoeba (CC BY 2.0 FR); see the Attribution page. You keep ownership of content you submit (such as feedback) and grant us a licence to use it to operate and improve the service.

6. Moderation and termination

We may warn, suspend, or ban accounts that violate these Terms, with the reason shown in the app. Deleting your account to evade an active ban is not permitted: an anonymized marker of the ban survives deletion and blocks re-registration. You can stop using TanoshiGo and delete your account at any time in Settings.

7. Disclaimers and liability

TanoshiGo is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. It is a learning aid, not a guarantee of exam results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app and continued use after the change means acceptance. Contact: [email protected].
