A downgrade does not overwrite your choice
If a plan lapses while you are using a paid accent, the app quietly falls back to the default for display but leaves your saved preference alone. Upgrading again restores the look you had, without you having to remember which one it was.
A few accent themes and tier effects are part of a paid plan. The core light and dark themes are always free.
